Unveiling the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63: 603 Horsepower and Track-Ready Upgrades

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+, a track-focused vehicle with 603 horsepower, aerodynamic enhancements, and a performance package that turns it into a formidable racing machine, the new model will be released in the U.S. next year.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the 2025 GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+ model, a performance-focused version of the aggressive coupe that will appeal to race fans. A lot was on the cards for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, with several automakers introducing new models. With the modifications, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine generates 603 horsepower, which is 26 horsepower more than the stock GT 63.

Through the use of a fully variable all-wheel drive system and a nine-speed transmission, the engine powers all four wheels. This enables the coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in approximately 3.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 197 mph (317 km/h). In just 10.9 seconds, the AMG GT 63 Pro can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph – 0.5 seconds faster than the AMG GT 63.

The AMG Carbon Ceramic High-Performance Composite Braking System is fitted as standard because performance gains require more stopping power. It features single-piston floating brakes at the rear and six-piston fixed calipers at the front. The largest standard ceramic braking discs that Mercedes-AMG now offers are 16.5-inch rotors. Updated brake cover plates and redesigned air vanes on the underbody provide optimal airflow to the brakes.

In this regard, the experts at Mercedes-AMG have worked incredibly hard to enhance cooling across the board. For better cooling on the racetrack, the Pro variants have two additional radiators installed in the left and right front wheel arches. The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is equipped with top-mounted radiators for the front and rear differentials, as well as an active cooling system for the transfer case.

Of course, there are also minor design adjustments, but they are not purely aesthetic but aerodynamic enhancements. As a result, the front fascia became more aggressive, with larger intakes and more carbon fiber air deflectors. The addition includes as standard the AMG Aerodynamics package with a fixed rear wing, the AirPanel active air control system in the front fascia, and an active aerodynamic profile in the underbody.

Like the Mercedes-AMG One supercar, the AMG GT 63 Pro has more air deflectors on the underbody. Their job is to accelerate the airflow of the underbody. For greater stability at high speeds, Mercedes-AMG states that aerodynamic lift at the front axle has been reduced by more than 66 pounds (30 kg). The conventional fixed rear wing adds approximately 33 pounds (15 kg) of downforce to the back axle.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires mounted on 21-inch forged split-spoke wheels are fitted to the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R extreme-performance tires are available for race enthusiasts at no additional cost. The standard AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package, which includes premium carbon fiber for the rear diffusor, side sill trims, front splitter, and rear wing, enhances the vehicle’s distinctive look.
