Paytm FASTag is a reloadable prepaid tag that enables seamless toll payments for vehicles traveling on national highways. It is linked to a user's Paytm wallet and uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to automatically deduct toll charges as the vehicle passes through toll plazas.

Mandatory Use: FASTag is mandatory for all four-wheeled vehicles since February 16, 2021  

Toll Plaza Detection: FASTag is detected by a scanner at the toll plaza, which reads the tag's details and automatically deducts the toll charges  

Toll Charges: Toll charges are deducted from the user's Paytm wallet  

Toll Plaza Lane: Users must enter the dedicated FASTag lane at the toll plaza
